INDIAN SOCIETY FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is a national, professional, non-profit society registered under the societies Registration Act of 1860. First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions, it was converted into "Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 with a view to enlarging its activities and advancing the cause of technological education. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations. Being the only national organization of educators in the field of engineering and technology, ISTE is involved in the various technical committees, boards formed by central government, Ministry of Human resource Development, AICTE/DOTE/DST. State government, are also involving the ISTE in many of their important programs and activities relating to technical educations.

We are happy to inform you that the Jayam College of Engineering & Technology (JCET) has got the privilege of conducting the 10th ISTE State Level Student Convention & Seminar, which is to be held at our Institute premises during 24th & 25th September 2010. The ISTE Student Convention provides a common platform to Academicians, Administrators & Policy Makers, Professional Experts, Students & Representative of Industries to discuss major issues & developments concerning Technical education in the country.

We expect more than 1500 Delegates / Participants / Guests /Academicians / from various Technical Institution and Universities across the country for this 2-day ISTE State Level Student Convention 2010.
About 150 Technical Papers are expected to be presented on the various subtopics by the students, other Guests & Academicians. Apart from the paper presentation, the Convention includes keynote address by eminent Academicians, various events like Project Exhibitions, Quiz, Puzzle House, Photography, Creative Writing, Poster Designing & more spot events.
We like to host this mega event in most fitting manner with the support of leading Institutions like yours.
